Cecil's Weight Loss Story

Many people want to have a better shape. For me, I don’t care. I mean as a guy at 50s, why bother?!  I always eat what I want to eat, when I want to eat, even though my wife keeps telling me to not eat so much chocolates, ice-cream, dried fruits, juices, crackers…they are not good for my health. As an old Chinese saying, “it’s a blessing to be able to eat!” I just don’t see any problem with eating what I like.  I consider myself healthy. I am just 150 lbs. But my wife told me that I should lose some weight because I have sleep apnea. I don’t believe her until she recorded my sleeps.  Then we talked about the symptoms that I have been showing, including breathing repeatedly stops and starts and very loud snores, I feel very tired even after a full night’s sleep. Okay, I am convinced I need to do something about it. To be honest, I have a back problem for decades, my legs are always sore and I couldn’t bend much. I knew it but I had been looking the other way for many years. Finally, I started my journey into a healthier future. I started in May 2019 and in less than 6 weeks, I lost 18 pounds! I feel more energy, my legs and knees feel more flexible, and the best thing is my sleep apnea is gone! My wife said she could hardly hear me snores. Yeah! I have never thought I could feel so good by just losing 18 pounds!
